Aileen’s career in the oil and gas sector spans more than 25 years.
Working for major operators, she has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial management of operated and non-operated upstream and midstream assets, including joint venture management, gas sales, oil and gas allocation, transportation and processing, and infrastructure marketing.
A skilled negotiator, Aileen has a proven track record of successfully developing and negotiating complex commercial agreements, and managing commercial disputes.
Aileen spent the early years of her career as a Process Engineer for Exxon before moving to Elf Exploration, where she provided technical and commercial support across the company’s North Sea assets. She was involved with the development of Elgin/Franklin, the world’s largest high pressure/high temperature development, and the SEAL pipeline (Shearwater Elgin Area Line), which exports gas from the Elgin/Franklin and Shearwater developments to the SEAL terminal in Bacton, Norfolk.
Following three years as a Contract Developer with Mobil North Sea, she became a Senior Negotiator with BP. In this role she was responsible for the commercial operation of the Central Area Transmission System (CATS), and for supporting other assets on gas sales, transportation and allocation matters, including leading negotiations with joint venture owners and third parties, and liaising with gas marketing and trading teams.
She went on to join BG Group initially as Commercial Manager (Infrastructure) before progressing to the role of Principal Commercial Manager, responsible for the commercial management of BG’s North Sea assets as well as asset manager for CATS.
Aileen is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde and holds a first class degree in Applied Chemistry.
